Is it totally nuts to lust for a pair of boots?

Charles by Charles David Taboo Purple Suede 7.5 M

Do not adjust your set, they *are* purple. I'm a little hesitant about the pointy toe, pointy toes not really being my thing and all. Will I be sorry? Will I ever find a handbag to match? Will the sky fall if my bag doesn't match my boots? Am I being too much of a prissy Southern Belle? Could I be any more superficial?

  1. I guess I'll just have to hand the goth girl boots down to Allie. But she probably wouldn't want them...

  2. Believe me, you could be more superficial. Well, maybe not you, but... purple?

  3. Plum. It's ever so much more tasteful. ;)

  4. Oooooh, love those - except the pointy toes. I fell for an animal print pair last year and thought I could live with the toes...I haven't worn them once. Well, I've put them on, looked down at the impossibly pointy toes (that make your feet look HUGE) and taken them off in favor of a more reasonable toe.

But they look great in my closet

    Sigh

  5. Only this past year I brought myself to part with a wickedly ugly pair of leopard print pony hair ankle boots, left over from the last time the pointy toe thing was in, sort of. I didn't hang onto them because I thought I'd never wear them again; I kept them for their shock value. And shocking they were. While I think it's good to step out of your fashion comfort zone every once in a while, those boots were taking it a tiny bit too far.

What can I say; I was playing rock star, and they looked great with my super-bleached hair at the time.

I grew up. I think. A little. At any rate, I’ve outgrown my need to dress like a drag queen. Mostly. These boots are a little more appropriate for an old gal pushing forty.
